Undergraound Racing twing turbo kit for Gallardo

It's not like this is the only Gallardo in the world outfitted with twin-turbos, but the system that Underground Racing built is so sexy that it almost seems a shame to cover it up. And seriously, all aesthetics aside, that gleaming gear practically doubles the Gallardo's horsepower, so hitting the gas is probably equal parts terror and awe. FX70 aka new enzo

I been patiently waiting for a successor to the Ferrari Enzo for some time now, and here's evidence that development of the next supercar from Maranello is underway. Codenamed FX70, the mule is housed in the shell of an F430 Scuderia, though there are a number of clues that what you're looking at is something very special. Take for instance the wheels, which are grossly oversized for the Scuderia. The track is also much wider and out back there's a large center-mounted exhaust. Next Autos reports that Ferrari is working on two separate engine options for the FX70 including a 700-hp twin-turbo V8 and a twin-turbo V12 that could reach 800 hp. Rumors suggest that Ferrari may go with the TT V8 in deference to the climate concerns of our time, though we hardly expect Ferrari to mix in too much green with that Rosso Corsa Red.

Honda Civic 5D Mugen Concept

Japanese tuning company, Mugen Motorsports, has waved its wand over a European specific model for the first time in the Honda Civic 5-door hatchback. Revealed at the Moscow Motor Show with cosmetic modifications only in the form of a body kit closely resembling the previously released Honda Civic Mugen RR from last year, this concept is a sign that Mugen is testing the waters of the old continent. Surely, with the Honda name gaining popularity across Europe, hoards of Honda tuners will be lined up to tap into the European market, and who better to test the waters first than the one with familiar ties to Honda Motor Company.

Suge Knight arrested for assaulting girlfriend with a knife

Suge Knight was arrested yesterday morning after police caught him beating his girlfriend in a parking lot. Suge was holding a knife at the time and was also in possession of Ecstasy and hydrocodone when officers arrived. The AP reports:
"A citizen sees the beating in a parking lot, police get there fast, they see him beating her. It's a good solid case," said Las Vegas police Lt. Chris Carroll."This is a very large man," Carroll said, estimating his weight at more than twice the woman's. "He was on top of her, actually in the act of violently beating her when the officers arrived, with the knife in his hand."At least one officer drew a Taser stun gun as they approached Knight, said Officer Jacinto Rivera, a police spokesman. He said he did not know if the officers drew their handguns. Knight dropped the folding knife and was taken into custody without incident, Carroll said.
I see: Suge Knight can beat up his girlfriend but pisses himself at the sight of a Taser. Pfft! What a pussy.

Wald International's R35

Japanese tuning house Wald International has a wide range of styling and performance kits for nearly every major luxury car brand on the market, but this time the company has focused its attention on a humble Nissan, albeit one of the fastest Nissans ever produced. The car is the all-new Nissan GT-R, a vehicle whose lines and shape were dictated almost exclusively by the drive for optimal aerodynamics.Improving on the original design would be a tough task for any tuner, and not surprisingly most of the aftermarket kits we’ve seen thus far, such as the Zele and Arios, appear almost completely stock. Wald’s new kit sets out to change all this by including a full bodykit, new wheels, and plenty of carbon-fiber accessories.
Wald has given the GT-R a new look through a custom carbon-fiber front lip spoiler, a custom nose cover, a carbon-fiber engine cover, a new rear wing, 22in multi-spoke wheels, and some low-drag duct covers also made out of lightweight composite.
A custom exhaust system offers a high-performance sound, though that’s the extent of the driveline modifications. Wald is still working on the final design for the kit and driveline upgrades, and is expected to release more details closer to its launch at the end of the year.

Ferrari confirms Kimi and Felipe for 2009

The closer we get to the end of this season and to the start of the next, the clearer the picture will become as to which drivers will be where for the 2009 FIA Formula One World Championship. While his team was undergoing testing alongside its competitors at the Monza track in Italy, Ferrari president Luca di Montezemolo placed one of the bigger pieces in the puzzle in confirming that Kimi Raikkonen and Felipe Massa would both be back in scarlet for next season. Although towards the beginning of the season it was onto Massa's future which doubt was cast, by now the tides have changed in that Kimi's performance has lagged behind his team-mate and it's Raikkonen's future that was being debated in the press. However Montezemolo confirmed that neither driver would be replaced for the coming season.
While in the paddock, Montezemolo also visited former champion Fernando Alonso and current leader Lewis Hamilton, but insisted that Alonso, who has been rumored to be angling for a seat with Ferrari, would have to wait at least a little while longer. Montezemolo also took the opportunity to express his displeasure with the new tracks being mixed into the calendar, stating that because overtaking is so difficult on these new circuits, the winner is often pre-determined in qualifying.
