Zonda R

since i have been all about F1 this weekend I figured some might enjoy something a little different. This is the all new Zonda R which is pretty much 75% different from any road going Zonda out there. Cant wait to see how it preforms on the track

Check that shit at the door

After the qualifying session in Australia last night many people are going out of their way making remarks that Brawn GP is running low on fuel to make a good impression on their team investors for the first few races. Well let me put those speculations to rest. F1 just re least all the vehicle weights after qualifying. If you didn't know when you make it to Q3 in qualifying, the fuel you finish qualifying in is the same amount of fuel you must start the race. Here are the weight results after Q3.

The weights, sorted by grid order, are:

1. Jenson Button, Brawn GP, 664.5kg
2. Rubens Barrichello, Brawn GP, 666.5
3. Sebastian Vettel, Red Bull, 657
4. Robert Kubica, BMW Sauber, 650
5. Nico Rosberg, Williams, 657
6. Felipe Massa, Ferrari, 654
7. Kimi Raikkonen, Ferrari, 655.5
8. Mark Webber, Red Bull, 662
9. Nick Heidfeld, BMW Sauber, 691.5
10. Fernando Alonso, Renault, 680.7
11. Heikki Kovalainen, McLaren, 690.6
12. Nelson Piquet, Renault, 694.1
13. Giancarlo Fisichella, Force India 689
14. Kazuki Nakajima, Williams, 612.5
15. Sebastien Buemi, Toro Rosso, 675.5
16. Adrian Sutil, Force India, 684.5
17. Sebastien Bourdais, Toro Rosso, 662.5

20. Jarno Trulli, Toyota, 660

Opening weekend

Well its finally here. The 2009 F1 season got underway last night with the qualifying for the 2009 Austrailian GP, and it did not disappoint. With so much speculations about which team will be running KERS and which team did enough testing in the off season the Brawn GP is clearly the winner so far. Defending F1 champion Lewis Hamilton not even make it to Q2 qualifying was early signs of the top teams from last year struggling to engineer the new 2009 spec cars. Ferrari also struggled a bit in all 3 qualifying rounds but was able to take grid 8 and 7. With BMW TOYOTA and Toro Rossi dominating qualifying pushed the favor teams to the back of the grid. Early morning news was released regarding TOYOTAS rear wing not meeting F1 regulations so they were pushed to the back of the pack. Brawsn-Mercedez did a amazing job taking the first 2 positions on the gird. This is amazing news considering this team was put together less then a month ago and had very minimal testing time. but since Honda had been engineering this car since mid last season just shows that any good chasi can do well if the drive train can make enough power. Congrats to Jensson Button for taking pole. Here is the starting grid for the Australian GP.

1 J. Button Brawn GP 1:26.202
2 R. Barrichello Brawn GP 1:26.505
3 S. Vettel Red Bull 1:26.830
4 R. Kubica BMW 1:26.914
5 N. Rosberg Williams 1:26.973
6 T. Glock Toyota 1:26.975
7 F. Massa Ferrari 1:27.033
8 J. Trulli Toyota 1:27.127
9 K. Räikkönen Ferrari 1:27.163
10 M. Webber Red Bull 1:27.246

11 N. Heidfeld BMW 1:25.504
12 F. Alonso Renault 1:25.605
13 K. Nakajima Williams 1:25.607
14 H. Kovalainen McLaren 1:25.726
15 L. Hamilton McLaren no time

16 S. Buemi Scuderia Toro Rosso 1:26.503
17 N. Piquet jr. Renault 1:26.598
18 G. Fisichella Force India F1 1:26.677

My friend Mario James is a amazing artist and he will soon be doing a mural in my garage. Her is some of his body art work.

No. 19R

This is a random post due to the fact that i have been on a Ferrari post only this last week. This car was on sale in July of 2008, The 19R would defenitly be in my collection if my funds would alow it. The GTR Longtail was the ultimate extension of the greatest supercar of all time - four inches wider, 23 inches longer, and over 300 pounds lighter than the original 1995 cars race cars and over 800 pounds lighter than the road cars. This car, chassis 19R, was the first of the 1997 specification longtails. Since it was the first of its type, 19R wasn't immediately dispatched to a customer team. Instead, for a time, it was retained by McLaren as a development / prototype unit in order to test all the evolutionary ideas eventually embodied in the subsequent six 1997 GTR's. Eventually, 19R was sold to a leading Japanese team and made its competition debut at the 1997 FIA GT Suzuka 1000 Kilometer race. Entered by Team Goh, finished 9th overall, driven by M. Sekiya, A. Nakaya and K. Tsuchiya. 19R went on to compete until 2001 achieving an overall victory in the Japanese GT Championship and three consecutive podium finishes in the prestigious Suzuka 1000. Only seven 1997 F1 GTR Longtail racecars were built. Total production of 1995-97 GTR racecars numbered 28 (including the longtails). McLaren built 72 F1 road cars (64 standard F1's, 5 F1 LM's and 3 F1 GT's). 100 McLaren F1s were built in total.

-The 1997 F1 GTR Longtail racecars were about 23" longer than the 1995 and 1996 F1 GTR Short-tail racecars. The length of the rear bodywork is increased about 20", while the front bodywork is about 2.5" longer. The wheelbase is only about 0.2" longer.

-The front track is about 2.5" wider and the rear track is nearly 4" wider than the original F1 GTR. Despite these larger dimensions, the 1997 GTR is more than 200 lbs. lighter than the 1996 version and nearly 300 lbs. lighter than the 1995 racing edition.

F450 ? ? ?

Cant stop wont stop... more Ferrari news. Pictures of the all new F450 are being seen all over the net. This is by far the best pictures that have surfaced of the F450 being developed by Ferrari right now as a direct replacement for the infamous F430. Here are a few snaps the F450 still in development and one picture of a rendering of what could be the F450

2009 Novitec Ferrari 16M

Leave it to Novitec to take a Ferrari master piece the 16M to the next level. Novitec twin supercharger system pushes this beast to 700 hp that's 161 hp per liter. cant really go wrong with that. and Novitec knows better then to ruin the sexy body lines Ferrari has designed. But the wheels do set off this M16.
