Opening weekend

Well its finally here. The 2009 F1 season got underway last night with the qualifying for the 2009 Austrailian GP, and it did not disappoint. With so much speculations about which team will be running KERS and which team did enough testing in the off season the Brawn GP is clearly the winner so far. Defending F1 champion Lewis Hamilton not even make it to Q2 qualifying was early signs of the top teams from last year struggling to engineer the new 2009 spec cars. Ferrari also struggled a bit in all 3 qualifying rounds but was able to take grid 8 and 7. With BMW TOYOTA and Toro Rossi dominating qualifying pushed the favor teams to the back of the grid. Early morning news was released regarding TOYOTAS rear wing not meeting F1 regulations so they were pushed to the back of the pack. Brawsn-Mercedez did a amazing job taking the first 2 positions on the gird. This is amazing news considering this team was put together less then a month ago and had very minimal testing time. but since Honda had been engineering this car since mid last season just shows that any good chasi can do well if the drive train can make enough power. Congrats to Jensson Button for taking pole. Here is the starting grid for the Australian GP.
